I was in Albuquerque in 85-86 playing in a string of club bands, when Femme was looking for a new guitar player. I don't remember his name, but actually, it was Bill DiAngelo that replaced ME a couple of years later, when I was moving on. By that time, we'd moved to LA together. Those were exciting times. When you're involved in something that deep down you know is good, there's a vibe like no other. Lot of work but lot of fun too.

I edited the video as part of a video class I was taking at UCLA. I can blame part of the poor quality (in addition to being a novice...)on the fact that this before the days of digital/Final Cut/computer-based editing. Done on 3/4" tape.
And yes, it's Roxy from Vixen that she's playing with now. We do stay in touch - we have the same birthdays!

Guitarist Mazzi Rawd left the music business went on to get his PhD in Physics, and is now a Vice President in a Fortune 500 company. Guitarist Bill D'Angelo died of a heart attack in 2005, aged 43. The Albuquerque Tribune reported on March 26, 2006 that D'Angelo's death was due to methamphetamine use. Lorraine is now in a killer band called Rocktopuss!

I remember you guys so well because it seems to me you guys were the last of the VERY marketable bands in Albuquerque. There have been great bands to come out of ABQ since then, but you guys were already ready for MTV and hit radio BEFORE you even left for Hollywood. As much as I love Bill and Bobby's playing, I always thought this lineup was much more unique and special. I miss the ABQ bands of those days.
