Agreed Clamming is more destructive but again you avoid sea mounts/hard ground as that is not a clams habitat. Crabs/lobsters do not come up mangled and can be returned alive. The majority of fishermen are not ocean rapists as some idiots want to believe, only a handful fuck it up for the rest a bit like some conservastionists and their misguided ranting.Give us a break.

Ever see the bottom in the Closed areas? Scallops cover the whole bottom & some places 10ft. deep. Ya thats great for the groundfish that thgey closed the
area for. Everybody should go eat some scallops.
