Good point! I guess I just want to know the social aspect of it. Thank you for the feedback.

Oh, I see- the chorus puts the song together, but I still wonder how Rolling Stone got the album at THE top of the list.

TV on the Radio... #1? How could that happen, I wonder...

Man these guys are awesome! They deserve album of the year!
By: PaulaAbduel. on 04 Jan 09, 03:26:38
I like TV On The Radio a lot, but they're not album of the year material. Regardless, good song.

This is a very safe video. All the "correct" pieces to make the viewer feel like an avant gardist. Extremely P.C. The collective guilt in America is massively exploited to the point where any negative comment is viewed as inappropriate.

this is the funniest video of the year. Is this serious? Genius or Prince/Michael Jackson esque with some marketable types and some silly dancing....
By: humbubinc. on 02 Jan 09, 19:59:45
Basically, it breaks-down to me "not getting" the genre, unfortunately. The thing is, I really want to give credit to something that's been hailed as the greatest band/album of '08 by basically all the media outlets, but it's really difficult to do that. It just doesn't blow me away, by any stretch of the imagination. Calling this crazy-exciting and revolutionary; that's laughable. But again it's a genre I'm unfamiliar with.

post-punk rock revival, neo-garage, dance punk, trip-hop,baroque pop, new prog, post rock, and new folk. you've got to be shitting me, calling this boring!!! dude! are you fucking serious?! you can't be serious! this is some of the most innovative music in the underground scene today. you must be deaf, or you can't understand genius when it's slapping you in your brain! the most genre fusing music in the neo-world! you're an idiot! lmao!!
By: humbubinc. on 02 Jan 09, 04:19:17
I want 3:50 of my life back. It's sad that a band like Death Cab, with lush, sophisticated melodies are taking a back seat to something this uninteresting and boring.
By: cmw06h. on 01 Jan 09, 09:01:46
that might be one of the strangest things i've seen that im not quite sure was complete rubish, like it's not cause its stupid that its strange, its like it actually has a meaning i jus dont know what the fuck lol

I hope you don't mean "devolution" as "negative-evolution," because that wouldn't make sense. That would be called, in all actuality, "evolution." Stop trying to sound smert.
By: dcsdvd. on 30 Dec 08, 15:23:29
I understand your comment Crodrigo. Many are praising this CD for a reason because it is good. Very, very good. Have you had a chance to listen to the whole CD yet? You cannot judge a restaurants food if you only have the appetizer. I am evolving quite nicely thank you. And Music is evolving quite nicely as well, thanks in part to TVONR's music. What was your favorite CD of the year?
By: Myffie. on 30 Dec 08, 08:14:47
I love the care bears reference :3
By: crodrigo. on 27 Dec 08, 19:46:14
Well I guess because everyone says it good, it MUST be good. I don't need marching orders. Although, I can see devolution is alive and well.
By: soulfire64. on 27 Dec 08, 04:51:15
and NME and rolling stone... etc.
By: dcsdvd. on 26 Dec 08, 03:06:47
Not only did Spin call it the #1 CD of the year, so did Rolling Stone, so did Entertainment Weekly, so did a couple of the UK papers and Dear Science was consistently in the top 5 in nearly all music publications.

Your powers combined, I am TV ON THE RADIO!
