All 4 of them had good and bad moments post break-up.George worked on the 'Imagine' album,but at the time of John's death,they were on the outs...some to do with the fact that John was perturbed George didn't cite John as being an influence on his writing style in his book 'I Me Mine'

Love them all, but unfortunately John didn't always treat George like an equal. He didn't want him in the band at first, and for years he called him "that kid". And when George wrote songs, John shot a lot of good ones down, for example George's "What is Life". Although it's sad these two passed on, it's good to see how surviving members put the bad behind and honored each other like this right?

George and Paul were mates and Paul got him into the band, but George soon found himself becoming closer with John than Paul - Paul had a tendency to talk down to George like a big brother, but John treated him like an equal. He definitely did look up to John and you can thank John for helping George become the great musician he rapidly became.
