Leonard Cohen wrote a large selection of verses so that the song could be produced many different times. This version obviously just took a different selection of verses than Jeff Buckleys.

Alexandra really does a great job singing this. I love listening to the different versions of Hallelujah, Leonard Cohen, Jeff Buckley and now Alexandra are my favorite.

Really nice, but I prefer the harmonies of the 4 Norwegian guys better, named(shrek song)unfortunately by the one that uploaded it. Especially Kurt Nilsen, NO one beats him in my ears, but nice to see how different people make their version out of such a special song

i personally wanted her to win since her first audition but by the end of it she irretated me because she was verging on fake. She has an amazing voice but her attitude was different from the beginning til the end beginning she was optimistic and looking for a second chance by the end she knew she was good and in a way was sort of annoyingly arrogant. But still glad she won :P

God bless Jeff Buckley. RIP Whoever decided that the xfactor winner should sing this song is a joke, winning the xfactor is surely a time of celebration and joy i met jeff buckely back in 96 after he was playing a show in mississippi, never have i listened to a man with such amazement in all my life, every word he said was inspirational, and it made me realize what a true musician he was. He told me wot cohen had told him the song was about, i listened to every word nd will not 4get....

I really don't like this version of the song. Jeff Buckleys version is much better. To all who think Alexandras Song is beautifull: listen to Jeff Buckleys Version of it. It is the best ever. Nothing can top it. He sings it with pure emotion.
