Does anyone know where the last clip is from? Looks like it could be a long lost film of Williams and Walker. I say this because the first dancers move so well--could be George and Aida Walker. Plus the man in the second couuple who exits looks and moves a lot like Bert Williams. But this is a rough print and it's hard to make out faces. Has anyone seen a better print someplace?

Or rather, anti-classical. After all, it did originate with American slaves and their attempts to mock the formal, uptight dancing styles of their white owners (you know, like the waltz). Ironically, the whites caught on to this craze and popularized it further.
