yeas, it was an electric mistress. i spent a few years trying to find that jet-plane flange in early 1980s. Also the Mu-Tron Flanger (with pedal) could do that.

That is a flanger for sure - I had an electric mistress too and agree it could well be - the MXR one that was around then did not have that sound and was very hissy..did you have the deluxe big muff aswell ? That was a great distortion pedal.

That particular effect, and I'm willing to bet money on it 'cause I used to own it, was an Electro Harmonics Electric Mistress!!! Trower did deviate away fron the Univibe once in a while!

I just love the In City Dreams Album...it was so funky......Robin's best album IMHO in many ways......Mr Jimmy Dewar we loved you so much....RIP wherever you are....your voice was from another plant (or maybe universe !). I am assuming that Rustee is playing bass on this show ?

i started listening to trower and dewar in the 70's as my father got me listening to them. this is a great song but their is not a bad track on bridge of sighs at all and that is unusual for most albums. these guys rock and i rate them one of the best if not the best. very underated and hall of fame material by a long shot. who in the hell votes bands in the hall because trower and dewar deserves it. i don't get it.

A little trivia for you ..... Jimmy sang and played with Lulu & the luvvers on "Shout" back in 65 at the Lindella Club in Glasgow . I know cause i played in he Frankie Miller band (till i broke my F/N neck) in the same club . hey Rck n Roll Pity but Scottish Rock bands just seemed to implode.Lost way too many GREAT rockers in a short time.
