The rain it shows at 5+ minutes into the video caused the storm drains in the Kingston hill section of town to back up the storm drains around the Olivet church. The waters were coming up from the river on one side and down the hills from the other. It caused water to geyser from the storm drains as far up as 13th street on the NW side. I lived a between Olivet and Kingston Hill, I watched it happen. Mind you, that was right where the emergency shelter at Roosevelt Middle School was as well.

They were getting booed when they came on as nobody had heard of them, by the end of the set nobody wanted them to leave! Being good musicians does not make a band great. No one has changed or revolutionised modern pop music like the beatles and that is why they are held in such regard. They invented modern pop music and are still copied today and have achieved more than any band since. There would have been no Led Zep if not for the beatles. Anyone can get good at instrumentation. Great song writing is a true gift. There are bands i like more than the beatles but none that i respect more.

It was filmed by the park. The camera was mounted (attached) to the train. Also, it is not illegal to take a camera onto a roller coaster. It is against park rules and a state misdemeanor (minor felony), which I guess would make it partially illegal. And, it's not that hard to sneak a camera onto a roller coaster. I do it all the time. You just hide it in a coat or in your sleeves.

We've had a ton of rain here too and some of the neighborhoods have been flooded up to four feet deep but I can't even imagine what it would be like to go through something like that! Melissa, the river crested yesterday (Saturday) about noon. The water is rapidly receeding but the damage has been done. The stench is horrific from sewage, oil, gas that have entered the flooded areas. The folks really getting it bad are in Iowa City. The spillway at the reservoir is so out of control they do not expect the Iowa river to crest until Tuesday or Wednesday. We have been blessed by the thousands of people who have shown up to sandbag. Also families have rally absorbed folks.

We have been blessed by the lack of looting and also people evacuating when told to. Things would be so much worse if people refused to leave their homes. The police have been very clear that they do not want gawkers and sight-seers around so they will not be diverted from rescuing people. We have 4 neighborhoods that are totally under water including our historic Czech Village, there for about 150 years.Special things there that are definitely destroyed. It is such a heartbreak. Thank you for your kind words. It has been horrible. All of the downtown bridges are closed so the only way to get across the river is by I-380 which sometimes has been so slow as to take hours to get just a few miles. We are so blessed though with no deaths from it. I still remember the horrific events of Katrina with bodies floating everywhere. The water is receeding rapidly. My uncle moved there to retire from Waterloo. I`m sure he`s ok because he`s a SOB. I just hate to see this. We dealt with this in Indiana last weekend. My house is screwed. i moved from cedar rapids in 2006. since i moved there has been a bad snowstorm, tornados in surrounding towns, and now this flood. i have a great aunt out there who had to get lifted out of her house with a helicopter. and its just terrible! its not even at its crest yet! i hope all those people affected by it, can get some help with everything they need. I always wondered if it was about an ex-lover whom had comitted suicide... Coffins are commonly made from cedar wood and a coffin could be interpreted as a small room... The part when Jimi sings "I'll be a shadow, in the cedar room. And leave just a memory, alone with you" could be part of the suicide note. The rest of the lyrics could be about Jimi apologising for not noticing how miserable he'd made the suicide victim (by judging or ignoring them over the years).

actually lines arnt bad if u go at the right time raptor millennium dragster maverick have pretty long lines on fridays so i suggest goin on a wendsday. thats when i went and it was the last week of august this year and the lines were pretty short the longest i waited was prolly 15 minutes for millennium dragster will always have a long line so dont plan to get on and off and on again withen 15 minutes.. impossible so yea cedar points awesome.. go there (:
