those really old bandsare classics dude, bands GOOD enough to become international. Not many can even come close to making it that far. American bands have their major fan base in America which explains why they tour in america, (which is harder than it sounds.) If JRock bands didnt have the outsources they have[games,anime,special musical guests, conventions,etc] they wouldnt come cause there wouldnt be a strong enough demand,why waist money if demand isnt there?

for all you kids who say americans are too stuck in their ways, this is true, but it is also true for many foreign musicians, like with the flying-v. he probably wouldn't have ever thought of using one of those if he hadn't come to america. so basically, its that americans don't have much diversity in their musical logic because they dont do the whole world-tour thing, and the don't have that sort of experience that makes them appreaciate many styles of one genre. sorry for my engrish.
