OMG. I can't believe someone said that they liked Charice when she was on Little Big Superstar and now no. Her voice has gotten better & better every day and w/ each performance I've seen. Watch her Ellen performance (she's fantastic but there's some stretching in her voice). Her Oprah performance blew me away & it brought me to tears. If you ask me I think its a setup. When Charice guested in Ellen the Oprah people saw her and thought how they get her on Oprah without making it look like that they are copying what Ellen did, so to make it original they waited half a year and then they came up with the "Amazing Kids" concept. And before you hit me in the head with a shovel, I think Oprah was genuinely touched by Charice and there was no pretending on her part.

yes they can say that Oprah discover her because that was her first time in her show saw something like that a most talented kid whom charice amazes everybody in an aired national television in the U.S. whereas, in Ellen D., that was a different show program whom charice was only a guest, but that was it. Unlike Oprah, her show program is helping those less fortunate people like charice to achieve her goal. Whereas Ellen D. don't have that. But of course we never forget Ellen.

Kaya nga eh hindi naman s'ya pangit. Para nga kasing naging beauty contest ang labas, tinitingnan ng tao kung sino ang may pinaka may itsura. Eh pacute naman lagi 'yong nanalo kaya siya 'yong pinili. At saka malakas sa ABS-CBN 'yong nanalo kaya wala talagang kalaban laban si Charice. That's why God made a better way for her.

As far as I know, the judges saw the talent in Charice. They chose Charice first in many of the prefinal contests. It was the people's text votes that pulled Charice down to 2nd runner up in the final. Perhaps, they were the ones who put looks before talent. Some speculate that the votes were manipulated. That has passed and is no longer relevant. What is important now is for Filipinos to rally behind her and support her because she is opening doors for other Pinoy artists to the whole world.
