This was the second game I bought for my Jag and I really think it had cool graphics, the framerate could have been higher but was okay once you got used to it. In my oppinion it is really fung with great graphics for the time and the controls were a bit hard but after some time of play you got used to it.

I might need to pick this up, if I can find it cheap. I like how the camera comes in close in anticipation of tunnels. Plus it looks way more entertaining than Club Drive (although my 2yo son enjoys that game, and calls it 'Poop Car', due to the toilet in the house world.)

This game had potential but didn't quite make the jump. Some tweaking with the controls and adding a few more frames of animation would have made this a hit.

I guess this game was Atari's answer to "Virtua Racing." Both games had about the same flat polygons, and V.R. had more dramatic crashes. If there was something this game can brag over V.R., it was differing weather conditions and more tracks. This is a nice video post of a little-known title, but I'm sure more people would have probably prefered Virtua Racing over this.

I can imagine people in Atari's building screaming at the programmers: "C'mon!!! C'mon!!! We have to sell... It's good, it's great... Let's sell it now." This game must had been programmed in a weekend. But I cant help thinking that if atari's got some good programmers it could've gone a little bit far with Jaguar. I've seen the Jaguar official development docs and it DID was a really powerful hardware for the time.

Yes. The Atari Jaguar is between SNES and 3DO. Of course cant one AVP,Rayman save the Jaguar... The machine wanted from beggining the cd and good programmers. I think the world tour racing is much better on jaguar cd. Atari hurry with Jaguar.

this is the most realistic racing game i've ever seen in my entire life. i just got done playing it, and it's like actually driving a real race car! i dont know why nintendo is lying and saying that the N64 is 64 bits...how can they compare themselves to this? god i can't wait to see what 128 bit will be like! my friend has a thing called an xbox360 or something and it was dumb, it didnt even look like a videogame... it was more like everything looked real and stuff and that ain't right.

What a horrible rip off of Virtua Racing. The Jaguar was a terrible joke. That msuic sounds like it's coming from a Gameboy and the graphics are not even as good as a Super FX game on SNES.

Which emulator did you use? I can't get any emulators to work properly, except Project Tempest which only works for Tempest 2000.
