Top stuff, we feed our locals magpies occasionally with a bit of mince and they love it. Babies come down for a nibble as well. They are one of the most beautiful birds and they sing one of the most beautiful songs - great to hear them when waking of a morning.

Are you aware that this encourages aggression? My grandfather used to do this and one day he found two dead birds in his backyard that had been attacked during the morning/evening. The council had advised against feeding the birds. They also said that during breeding season they will also become extremely aggressive to strangers passing your property. I'm not sure whether this is illegal, but would suspect that you are not encouraging their natural instincts.

The predator moves closer and closer by small incremental steps that the bird in unable process as threatening, until, being right on top of the bird, it pounces. I used something like this and your method to sneak up and take a couple close up shots of a Crested Pigeon that was resting on the ground, in the middle of a sports field. There is a technique i use 4 getting close to large non flocking birds .I know it works 4 owls ,kookaburras and emus .First stand sideways (body and arms still) to the bird ,wait a bit (don't look it in the eye ),then very slowly take a sideways step closer ,wait , then another step and so forth. I still love this song too! It's still a TUUUUUNE! I was about 16 when I saw Boniface perform at a Destiny's child concert and sooo LOVED this song! If he re-released this song, it'd definitely get higher in the charts than it did the first time around. He's better than the likes of Justin Timberlake and should definitely get a hell of a lot more recognition! Hopefully, we'll be hearing more of him in the charts soon!

i first saw this sketch in or around '95 and i thought it was in the top five funniest sketches of all time. john thompson was brilliant and i hoped he'd make the grade (he was comparitavely new at the time). well he certainly went on to be a great comedy actor in his own right. as for steve coogan,the guy's a comedy genius. alan partridge was right when he said hold on to your sides because it's truly hilarious. thanks for posting this thesimon2000.

OMG. :( ive been watching this line of shows having a BALLLLLLL of laughter.... but i just realised something. the guy who is in on the prank in the red who works there is actually the guy that got "pranked" in the toilet changed to office one.... so its really all made up. no one actually gets shocked i dont think, i think they are all paid to look shocked cos they get pranked and then do the pranking themselves...
