YAY! Absolutely right! I cannot imagine what that must have been like for those pilots and crew. Did I see that right? They flew into a crane cable? Oh my... They probably lost all sensation and function as soon as they were exposed to the core. It's amazing that they made it as far as in as they did. That was such a low altitude.

Well said. To all those who are saying dumb arsed pilot, how would you cope when your hands are probably in intollerable pain, you're feeling sleepy from radiation sickness, but you've gone up for a third or fourth time. Yes there was pilot error, but in the circumstances it is entirely excusable. The crew of that chopper were effectively already dead.

To those FUCKING MORONS who said the unprotected pilots of the helicopter are stupid you might want to consider the fact that when reactor 4 spewed its nuclear fuel in the explosion on april 24th 1986 the poor bastards fighting fires and dropping water from the helo's had NO FUCKING IDEA what massive amounts of radiation they were absorbing or that theyd probably die after doing the job WITHOUT being told the dangers. How long would you last piloting with those levels of exposure? FUCKING IDIOTS
