What I have a problem with is that Oprah continually calls herself a Christian, but as a Christian we believe the teachings of the Bible especially when Christ says, "I am the way the truth and the life no one comes to the Father but through Me." (John 14:6) If Jesus said that, and that's about as clear as you can get, how then can Oprah call herself a Christian and then say, "there can't be just one way". And to address your argument about religion: it is true. Religion has been used by men in horrible ways. But when you have been led by God, religion is forced out. Some Christians get angry because they truly are hanging onto their belief by a thread, and must fight to keep believing. For the rest, when our God has told us what to say, what to do, instructed our way, we find it hard to argue His exsistence. Our belief is in a concrete God-I believe in His exsitence as much as I do yours.

Well, the Gnostics were heretics, so in that respect I wouldn't have thought their writings to have real value. I suppose if you wanted to look into them that's up to you. The so-called "Gospel" of Judas was written in the 4th century, whereas the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John were written in the 1st. Luke himself interviewed many eye wittnesses to the events. Those are quite credible.
