Without the music that the Clash made, the Libertines probably wouldn't have been what they were. I too prefer to listen to the Libs rather than the Clash but stating it like that is a bit too simple in my opinion, both bands are amazing in a way.

No they didn't ! You just don't understand what The Clash was about and have not seen another clash video outside of this one, so it's understandable why you'd make a mistake like that. But never mind what they're dressed like just listen to the lyrics and tell me if the Beatles ever wrote anything that powerful (and if you still can't get what the song is about maybe you could look it up in the wikipedia, but I doubt you care cause you may just be nothing more than an ignorant twit...
