Concord(e) Crash at Paris CDG

An Air France Concord crashed at Paris CDG airport in 2000. The first fatal accident of the only widely used commerical supersonic aircraft in the world. May the victims R.I.P. The aircraft bursted its tank during takeoff, and is said to be seconds away from a safe landing airport at Le Bourget.

You could see the curvature at sea level if the surface is all flat like a plain. It's just more obvious higher up.

Concorde always flew at an altitude above 55,000 feet, so you're way off. Your average jumbo jet flies about 37,000 feet. You wouldn't see Earth's curvature from only 39,000 feet.
