Theres a notch on the cartridges that MSX computers could use to embed a power switch in the cartridge slot, which would automatically switch off the computer if you are pulling out the cartridge, to prevent damage. The NES has a similar mechanism, I think. Ive never actually seen it though, I think it was only used in some MSX1 computers. And I would not recommend the practice, especially on an MSX without such a switch, as I experienced myself once :).
