snapascrew: Depends on the amp. If it's tube then it'll sound better the higher the volume knob goes. It sounds like shit on solid state amps though. Angus Young sets his EQ and all that to 12 o clock then maxes out the volume, but it sounds good because he's using good quality tube Marshalls.

also. after about 6 on most amps it doesnt get louder it just starts to push powertube overdrive which basically makes an amp sound like shit. unless your amp has unbelievable headroom. (you dont know what head room is either idiot) then going from 10-11 wont do anything...

your the biggest noob ever and obviously dont know anything about guitars. ive been to plenty concerts and the amps arent loud because they turn them up to 10. its called "micing" amps. its when you stick a mic in front of a guitar cabinet and it the mic is connected to bigger speakers called a "PA system" this is probably too much for you considering your a retarded nub.
