Something that I didn't see brought up here, maybe due to time constraints, maybe not but I would also bring attention to the fact that something like the tuners and pickups are very simple to replace with a locking tuner or an after market pickup to suit your needs. I've replaced the the pickups on my gibson with some DiMarzios and it did the job for me quite nicely

I prefer Gibson's but not every part is American. All the work is done in Nashville. I have had arguments with people about the quality of Gibson VS Epiphone. In the arguments I have attacked issues not people. To many foul mouthed young kids coming on here lately that don't respect their elders.

I have a lower-end Epiphone SG, and that stays in tune fine, i dont like the pick ups though, and the harmonics seem quite shitty, but i guess thats what you get for 250.

I have an epiphone Les paul and i have grover tunners and i put a little graphite in the nuts and my guitar stays in tune really well. But les pauls are notorious for coming out of tune and they have foreign parts because i have loads of friends who own gibson and they are foreign parts.

First of all, learn how to read. I've been playing/building guitars since before you were born! Secondly, Why so much hate in you? Were you raped as a child? Oh wait, you still are a child. Thirdly, you're a fool if you think Gibson uses all American made materials. The tuners, pots, capacitors, among other parts, are from Germany, Japan, Korea and China. I completely understand what you mean I have afew les pauls and although they arent made for it you can tell that they are top quality instruments becuase they handle it very well. infact I prefer it to the Ibanez I have simply becuase its beefier and heavier (personal prefrence I love heavy guitars) although I guess if you like metal and les pauls go for an eclipse or an EC 1000. Anyway Im rambling :)
