I agree with you completely. I played this song for a friend of mine, and he said that although he liked her voice he was put off by the "Christianity" of it all. And I told him that I saw it differently, and that he should just focus on the music. I told him I was inspired by it, even though I may not necessarily agree with everything that Brooke does. thanks, this has been our best year, with a second, a 1st in canada plus best drumcorps, and now this weekend we recieved 1st and best drumcorps on saturday and today we got first and best drumcorps giving us the aggregate for the two days and the title of G4 Washington State champs...so pumped this year , ive only been playing drums for 2 years and am already competing in a very talented g "3 skilled" g4 corps So boston? used to live there. have you seen any bands your intrested in?

ya I hard from some of my fellow corps drummers that SLOT will take it this year, which made me even more excited about the Worlds this year. so do you/have you played with a pipe band? I am a snare drummer in the NWJPB based near Seattle Washington. thats bad news about FMM, but the competition will still be fierce :)have you heard any news about any of the other bands? i hope strathclyde is doing good, i like the drumcorps, as well as 78ths and of course SFU

fmm's pm's pipes didn't strike in, he tried but his bag sprung a nasty leak or something. he kept on pretending to play and directing the band in the circle. there was another comp this year where the pm straight up didn't play in the circle. he wanted to listen to the chanters and figure out something that was wrong. plus strike-ins have been poor for a lot of bands this year. especially SLOT, even though they're close to the top this year.

the pictures are unreal... I was an atheist for 22 yrs and was baptized about 3 months ago as Christ found me about a year ago... This video reminds me of how the only time I ever thought that God existed was when i stood on the beach and stared out across the ocean.. I saw Brooke in concert last week at the House of Blues in Dallas!! It was so wonderful. I guess she's starting her North American tour. It was a rather small and no seating (stood for 2 hours). She had just arrived from Australia that day and was very jet-lagged, great sense of humor and a voice like an angel. Check to see if she's coming to your city and get tickets!!!!

I think exactly the same,I could never imagine a 23 year old of today playing the young Jamie. Wether it would be Gerry or not, the actor has at least to be 30 IMO. No 23 year old of today has the experience and strength Jamie had due to the climate, like you said,the roughness of the 18th century and of course the experiences Jamie has made at this age. But I fear that Gerry with almost 40 might be really a little bit too old to play young Jamie...

I agree, it would be great if they made the books into movies and I'd love it for Gerard to play Jamie -- a daft fool could see that he's perfect for the job. He's also an excellent actor and I think he could pull not only the rugged, scottish, Jamie attitude but he could also pull of the calmer, more compassionate side of Jamie. He'd be perfect but you'd need someone who could match his acting to play Claire, otherwise it'd be, as you said, 'crap'. Hopefully it happens!!! :)

I heard that they are talking about making a movie. Diana says its an independent movie company and a well known scriptwriter. I dont exactly know whats going on at the moment about it. I also heard that Diana also prefers Gerry as Jamie. Maybe, if the company is independent from Hollywood and all this stuff Diana could lead the dcision to Gerry. I once read in an other comment, that Gerrys Fans beg him to read the books and play the role if it will be offered to him. Thats all I know so far

It is a risky business though, to even make a movie, cause diana gives them a lot to live up to. even the chemistry between jamie and claire has to be there, and intensely or the movie would just be crap. Cause thats what the books focus on so intensely. but i am absolutely dying to see the books made into movies. i think i would die. do you guys know if they are thinking of making them into movies?

I agree....though I read that Diana Gabaldon said she has no power over who is chosen to portray her characters in the movie deals...a huge mistake for any author! If I created a series & they were asked to be made into movies, you could be damn sure I'd hold creative license to the movies or they would forever remain books!!!
