Handel's saradande is an exact transcription in another tonality of the theme of "the folia" arranged by Coreli. The folia was a spanish dance with men clothed into women.

do not be discouraged. I am 26 and I have listened to classical music since I was 8 years old. I listened to the Adagio of the Emperor concerto of Beethoven. I have always being the odd person at school. Nobody shared my sublime tastes for music, but I have since found other people like me. You are not alone!

I'm a young person, 15, and I listen to classical music regularly. All types. I particularly love Bach, Saint-Saens, Rachmaninov, Prokofiev, Ravel, Satie, Milhaud, Chopin, and Grieg. So, your stereotype is slightly inaccurate. :) I think the reason most young'uns are not like me is because they haven't been exposed to the right stuff. When they think of Classical, they think of Mozart's K 545, the Piano Sonata in C. Which, in my opinion, is one of the least captivating pieces I've heard.

I love Classical music but I won't be the first person to deny a lot of it is incredibly boring, personally I believe due to the fact that the pieces composers wrote for had to be so long and they had to fill it somehow, compared with 2/3 mins of 'packed-in tune' today. A vast amount is boring, this is what a lot of people hear, once they hear Beethoven or Dvorak, it will be appreciated, it happens when it's paired up with a film, just look at what happened to Chris Mansel's tune, gigantic!

That's the problem. Young people are not interested to listen the classical music, unless it has a drum machine and other additional technological stuff that all DJ's have. They consider that classical is boring, but it's not true. Tiesto made outrageous remix of Adagio and Sarabande, it's a shame for such masterpieces.

i echo the sentiments of frambosidica, tiesto's simply reinventing a classic into his own masterpiece showing originality, creatvity and a love and respect for Handel, well done Tiesto and well done Handel.
