Yes, I agree, the conductor looks like he's never owned a mirror in his life, and Pavarotti's Spanish is like my six-year-old autistic cousin's. But they both did a pretty good job.

this is absolutaly fantastic! Domingo and Carreras, they both great, but Luciano makes it look so easy and I think, this version is the best. Fantastico!

"Granada" is a beautiful song and El Maestro sings it very good, but definitly this is not the best interpretation of this song. Domingo is the best, but search here "Juan Diego Florez sings Granada high quality video/sound". It is stunning.

I didn't breath the entire preformance. He was a great one. I wish I would have been blessed with the opportunity to not only meet such a great man, but to preform with him. R.I.P.

You would rather say...."a "Spanish-Mexican" to sing a song from a Mexican composer to sing a song dedicated to Spanish culture"...so at the end...who cares now if Pavarotti sings this one now...OLE!
By: RockNRococo. on 22 Dec 08, 18:11:51
Makes sense, it takes a Spaniard to sing a song dedicated to Spanish culture.

This performance is a disgrace, hear Placido Domingo's performance if you want to hear something great. Pavarotti will be remembered as the most overrated tenor of history. In fact he is mostly admired by profanes. He was a bad musician, a good singer and an excellent "actor" with an uncommon ability at selling himself to the big audiences.

Pavaroti Brill. But type in Mario lanza's version of Granada and be blown away. The best tenor singer ever.

is it me or does the conductor remind me of Ithzak Perlman?
