At first, they were trying to speed up the process of lighting a grill, but they got lost somewhere along the way in the sheer pyrotechnic joy of it all and decided to try using liquid oxygen,with the "cool" results that you see here. Yuandrew is correct. GHG's refrigerant is R-406A. He developed it after the Air Force discovered that R-132A is an extremely dangerous substance (odorless, colorless and poisonous just like carbon-monoxide, but also EXPLOSIVE like pure propane or butane). I was in Purdue's HKN lounge when GHG converted the refrigerators from R-12 to R-406A. This was around 1988 - 1990.

That would be George C. Gobal. Originally started with a propane torch, then they stepped up to blowing on the charcoal with fans and a leaf-blower, then compressed oxygen in gas form (safer but takes about 20 seconds) to finally dumping a bucket full of liquid oxygen. Lesser know is that he also invented an alternative drop in replacement refrigerant for Freon R-12. It's sold under the brand name "Autofrost". The actual R-number is R-406A though, not R-132A

AKA Xbox 360 owns PS3 and shits on it in the morning, Xbox 360 has a bigger online network then PS3 and Wii put together. It's funny, cause I saw that "white hip-hop" show that Serch was hosting on Vh1 or MTV..can't remember..Anyway, Serch criticized the rapping of a few guys on his show, but HIS stuff wasn't great either(for the time he was in)! His rhymes were much simpler(even w/in his style) & was using that outdated style, when Supercat ragga-influenced rap started coming in. I'm white & will say the only white rapper that I thought was really good, was Milkbone. Eminem's got his own style, but it's not great.

Agreed. I do almost everything these guys did, except I use charcoal, without exception. One other difference I'd suggest is searing the meat on both sides ASAP. After preheating the grill, throw the meat on, and after 3 minutes, flip em, cook for another 3, then repeat again. So, rule of thumb, 12 minutes total cooking time...3 minutes, flip, 3, flip, 3, flip, 3. This will give you a rare to medium rare steak.
