Being German/Irish with no connection to what everyone else is talking about - I can say I like the sound of the guitar, the singer tells a story well, and he isn't afraid of using his voice - which is interesting. The sound quality changes noticabely when he actualy starts to sing live in the last third of the song. Plus no one, not even him, is able to do athletics and sing clearly as if from the record at the same time. If you have ever been to a truly live concert you will know what I mean. Thanks for showing this one. I believe Eric only dropped 3 sets for each World Championship played between 1985-1987. Cannot remember this final score, but it was great that Eric proved all his doubters wrong. He was like a thoroughbred horse, he could change gears whenever he needed to. Only Jocky and Keith Deller could really match him!

He's alright. I'm not yet such a fanboy yet that I can deny the fact that the 2nd verse sounds kinda off with Chris' static backup vocals. But overall, I really enjoy hearing his safe, calm voice. I'd LOVE to hear him try a more varied singing, though. Imagine a WAS song with Chris on lead vocals. There's already a song with his bass on the lead (Altered Beast). I like how he did the lead singing on the "we're alright..." part and Keith backing him up instead.

bass is easy compared to guitar.. going bass to guitar without ever touching a guitar before can work.. you could play something you know on bass.. then if you try reading some music and its a normal guitar song you may be stumped unless you play trash bass.. but you'll still be stumped.. no way your dishing out semi intermediate chords along with guitar strumming.. you practically slap the bass strings... stumming would be the hardest to get down... and definitely agility of the fretting hand

I don't think so. If memory serves, John Profumo went on to head the British Red Cross. It was Dr. Stephen Ward who took poison and subsequently died. But I could be wrong. This was very big news when I was a young man in the Army. There was always something in the newspaper about it. The movie "Scandal" covers it well in the chronological order of events.

Of things 1963, I still recall the March on Washington, The Beatles, Faith 7, JFK, the Profumo Affair, and yes, the iconic Lewis Morley portrait of Christine Keeler. The film and Dusty's video are a semi-nostalgic treat. However, in comparing coiffures -those of the real-life Ms. Keeler and the actresses portraying her- I couldn't help noticing, when contrasted with the news clips, the hair and make-up departments' respective misplacement of the part.
