Philippines - Flight from Manila to Baguio (v2)

On my trip to the Philippines, the first city that I visited after Manila was Baguio. We left Manila on a hot, humid day ... sat on the runway sweating in the cabin of the YS-11 ... then finally got airborne and headed to Baguio. After ~45 minutes of flying, the mountains came up from the plains, and we landed on a mountain top airstrip. It was *much* cooler in baguio!

This video was forwarded to me by my father . I was just there myself a few months ago and even though the cars, buildings, and streets have changed, the character of Manila still lives. There is still strength, courage, faith , and intellect there. What we must overcome as Filipinos is our own archaic prejudices toward one another. Can we Filipinos overcome our social and economic differences to revive our once beautiful country?

THis is one great memoirs of old manila. and it's mesmerizing to see manila in its grandest in 1930s. I hope our government put efforts in keeping the spirit of Ol' grand Manila in our TVs rather than tons of bad news. Watchin this will make you love and be proud to say I lived in this jewel of a city.
