furthermore is our hair and nails a waste product of the body which is destined to be discarded by natural process?
By: keepinitdown. on 22 Oct 08, 14:13:16
Just had this weird thought. We excrete urine from our urethers and feaces from our bowels, co2 from our lungs, sweat and oil from our skin, mucus and snot from our nose... is our nails and hair an excretion of used dead matter 2? Do we excrete hair?

i think a lot of things in science are cold hard facts. for instance, we are all genetically engineered from humanoid animals by a very technically advanced race of reptillians that live on planet nibiru.

i see what you mean. i suppose the best way of looking at it would be to see God as a force tat controlls the universe, kinda like a nucleus in a cell. the way science would look at it, we are the most successful product of millions of different "decisions" that chemical processes have taken, and that ours is the path whereeverything went right for us to get where we are. now the wuestion is, who chose the path?

:) Yeah I've met those types of people and from my perspective from both sides (religion and science) I still find it hard to believe natural selection is the great hand in all of life. I understand how it's a random process that isn't biased but randomness doesn't lead to the complexities of DNA replication. The only reasoning for it would be given enough time it would happen which goes back to the whole monkey and a paintbrush convo.

very well. I had merely based that coment on the assumption that you were that sort of person. i apologise. oh, and good luck ;)
By: blackboy1367002. on 13 Oct 08, 16:26:17
I'm not stating the contrary. And I'm not approaching this from an "antieducational" point of view. I am an undergraduate at the university of oklahoma and will be graduating next year with a degree in Zoology for Biomedical science. I know evolution man.
By: pipmdirector. on 13 Oct 08, 16:02:53
if you have to see it from a religious point of view being a stubborn antieducational sort, see science as God's gift. from what i've heard from people like yourself, God put us on Earth so that we may look after it. Science helps us to look after it. when you give a worker a task, you usually give him the tools to do it with as well and science is God's tool. you dig?
