basicly you pay for internet and with that you can use it on your pc, laptop, mac, iphone, psp, ps3 ect. so no it is not free because you must pay your internet service provider for the internet your using now but it is free to use it on the iphone (as in no extra charges)

I would buy the Instinct over the Vu any day. Instinct has a great GPS. all u have 2 check for is service, where I live(Puerto Rico), AT&T has waaaaaay better service than Sprint, specially in my home and the places I go to frequently. But the Instinct is a good phone. I really think that what truly takes the iPhone to another level is the UI and the responsiveness of the phone.

I like this phone so much that after I bought an iPhone 3G I went back to the store and bought the LG Vu without contract, so now I use one one week and the other one the other. People have complemented the LG more than the iPhone. Although the iPhone is waaaaaay better, I prefer the Vu's sleek style.

Wow, i've seen you everywhere. I'm researching too. If you were to get this phone, you might want to get Mobile Tv Pro, which includes internet. The regular texting plan you say you have, for $5 for 200 txts works perfectly and you can keep that plan, if you find anything new about the VU, please let me know. I'm looking too. Hope that helped.

And to those who say this phone is crap, it is not the usual Motorola we have known in the previous years. It uses software that is totally different from the usual Motorola OS. This is going to be an interesting and innovative device. What you can't see in the video is there are little "knobs" (kinda like brail) on the surface of the touch interface to give you a tactile reference for the buttons. This phone is also using haptic feedback which I think we're going to start seeing in a lot of technologies (not just phones). Apple has been researching a keyboard for their computers using similar technology.

That's kinda cool.. ...

i had this phone, but i dropped it in the toilet, it's not the best phone but it's internet is good. it takes forever to send text's and not alot of space on the phone. at a point it never deletes messages so i had about 15,000 texts on my phone which took up most of the space.

i hate this phone. the top slide is falling off the phone sometimes just refuses to send my texts. the features are for old people, no cute designs or fonts besides color schemes or menu format. the camera lags like no other camera quality sucks the t9 on the phone is RIDICULOUS to use its not hte usual t9 and its really annoying. the qwerty board is hard to type on and i've had it for a year. the keys are flat and unsatisfying to press.. knwo what i mean?

i have a pantech duo and a lot of what you said was untrue. #1. you can answer the phone by sliding it up. thats how i always answer. #2. there is another way to open the camera. Applications > camera. drz125dude was right...learn how to completely use a phone before making a review. I previously had The windows Tilt and a sidekick 3 and both of your reviews were rediculous...READ THE BOOK

Both phones are great, tough I don't have any off them, but I would rather prefer Touchwiz when it comes to camrea, cuz the camera is more protected, than on the Viewty. But what I like about LG's Viewty is the big screen, the menus, and how you wright messages on it. But I would go to the store, and try bot of them out, see how they work in your hand and so on. And compare the spesifications. But when it comes down to it, it more about taste and you you want the most=)

I DID MY HOMEWORK ON THIS PHONE. It is a good touch screen phone. Nice keypad, excellent camera and flash. Only down side are that it is not Apple Mac compatible except for bluetooth. Hopefully Samsung will correct this with its future phones. Overall a nice Camera-Phone and not a bad alternative to the iPhone. WELL DONE SAMSUNG!
