My brother is 3 years older than me and has always had a rather eclectic taste in music. I remember following him to see Minutemen at the L.A. Street Scene the day the punks and cops clashed. Mike Watt had his hard case plastered with Madonna stickers, which even at 13 years old, I appreciated the not-so-subtle irony. I remember hearing that Madonna put the line "Last night I dreamt of San Pedro" in the song La Isla Bonita as a tribute to them. Does anyone know if this is true or not?

Cool, I'll give it a listen. The meat puppets are/were a band like no other....you would be well advised to check them out, listen to "violet eyes". tightest, coolest band ever....they're in my DNA. Curt Kirkwood is god.
