I went to school in the uk when you still had corporal punishment I was caned and it worked when they stopped corporal punishment the school turned into a zoo , even if you wanted to learn you couldnt because of the actions of other children . I have friends who were caned to who would tell you its really works

this also happens in middle schools in singapore and at my home in singapore and even if i am 11 i must say it works after my frend got canned and now he studies harder and does not fight or steal in school it does not matter what age you are you will get canned but its for your own good

Corporal punishment only works in martial arts training or any environment that simulates a threat to survival and fundamental human rights, just enough to push people into working hard so that the beatings they received from training will only remain as a past mistake. Corporal punishment breeds warriors who are made aware of the world's cruelty through their experiences of pain and suffering. What do they learn? Violence and severe retribution against oppressors both potential and actual.

That isn't true, Singapore has one of the lowest crime rates on the planet. That's because they hand out the maximum punishment to people such as drug dealers. People always defend drug dealers sentenced to death as if they were saints. However they fail to realise that those drugs they were smuggling were destined to ruin peoples lives.

Never in my life have i and many of my other friends been violent and yet almost 3 times a week at school we were hit like this and its because we DESERVED it! My son is a lovely happy child who gets all the love in the world, does well at school and its all because he knows what will happen to him if he steps out of line
