Whether call right-wing neo-liberalism, or libertarianism or social credit, why is it that these kinds of economic ideas have such little credit in a field as wide open and as contentious between different camps as economics? Easy, these ideas are not taken seriously by the vast majority of thinking scholars. The video claims that it's the government that is "debasing" our money, yet how can that be when it's PRIVATE BANKS--not government--that creates virtually all of what we currently use for money? As for the presumed superiority of "gold-backed" currency, how many monetary reformers are aware of the fact that--during the depression-inducing contraction of the money supply that occurred between 1929-1933--FRNs were "redeemable in" (and henced "backed" by) GOLD at the time? Very few it seems.
