Yeah we have crappy weather all the time, something I've kept record of over the years is it's never rained during the Melbourne F1 GP during the actual F1 race since Melbourne got it back in 1996 (12 years) Melbourne has more consistent weather as we dont have such extreme storms like NSW and QLD get.
By: orodrethAU. on 21 Nov 08, 22:19:12
That was amazing. Now I can understand why The Gap looks like it does!
By: grud66. on 21 Nov 08, 21:27:38

It looks like someone is water-blasting your house with one of those high-pressure hoses! A GIANT hose, followed by a giant ice-cube maker! Was that 'wtf travel' at the bottom? :D
By: EXhibitphotography. on 21 Nov 08, 13:55:02
so what is your answer?? downburst?
By: iksteh. on 21 Nov 08, 13:48:52
(in aviation) a microburst is a sudden, strong, but short term downdraft - caused by rapid cooling of the air under the cloud. It can happen in a thunderstorm or even just under dense cloud (and virga) on a humid day, but that wasn't a just a microburst (and anyone flying in that would not be around to tell about it today)
