haha your ridiculous bro! the saying "Hip-Hop is dead" is referring to its fallout from the mainstream. The true hip-hop of the past is no longer being properly represented today, that's what it means. just because some one dies does not mean that there memory and influence doesn't live on...

"in order for HIP-HOP to really be dead, NAS along with every other emcee, B-BOY, true DJ, and Graff artist would need to be eliminated, along with all evience of its existence, I.E. IMPOSSIBLE. not only that, they all jump to shit too quick, ppl stay hating on NAS and dont even listen to his CD, because the lp HIP-HOP is dead is all about how HIP-HOP can never die.. but noone knows this.. the fools.." well 3XDUS1190 in my opinion, most dont listen to Nas cause he speaks the truth.

but it inevetably it happened in 1999 for good(or bad).. they have been saying hip-hop is dead for many years, since it has died in the public eye, its not on TV no more or even the radio...ppl went crazy when NAS called his album HIP-HOP is dead, every rapper was outraged, however if you notice none of the emcees complained, because they knew it was so.. either way ppl are too stupid to realize that even if NAS says HIP-HOP is dead, it really cant be so.. Because NAS himself isnt dead
By: 3XODUS1190. on 19 Nov 08, 01:52:51
listen to a nas song called, WHO KILLED IT go on google and look for the meanning of the song, it describes the history of HIP-HOP, all of it.. i hope your knowledgeble on it cuz ull need to be to understand it. also look for common's I USED TO LOVE H.E.R. and the bush babees' WE RUN THINGS in each of these songs you will be able to hear them separate HIP-HOP and rap, especially in we run things..since its the actual hook.. the process took a while for the complete separation
By: 3XODUS1190. on 19 Nov 08, 01:45:58
shit rappers. i.e. puffy.. an emcees job is much more than rhyming. which is something rappers forgot. all this motherfuckers now days think that the income you get is what determines your skill right?..in other words, they do shit to get payed. emcees love this, like actually love it, they act upon it, they are intune with this shit. they need to have a message, teach,be skillfull with wordplay, literary components, knowledge, rhymescheme, flow, like nas said, they need to carry on tradition

who are you talkin to son?
By: 3XODUS1190. on 19 Nov 08, 01:28:09
your right...but wrong... its not like that no more son..HIP-HOP is the lifestyle, and actually the term rapper used to be used when an emcee was paid for emceeing. for example, a kidd spitting on the street with his friends wouldve been an emcee, an emcee spitting on stage...that would be a rapper.. but the meannings split.. as HIP-HOP became some commercialized bull shit.. the people who kept it in its true form started calling themselves emcees, and those who were with all that commercial

continued the 1970's cadillacs u see on those slim Thug, Ludacris, and other videos from other downsouth rappers, all that with the Cadillacs with the big grills and other accessories has started back in New York, waay back in the 1970's. So it's nothin REALLY new. And im from New Orleans, born and raised, and i know this.
By: blackandgold51. on 18 Nov 08, 23:07:42
"dude u r a moran fo real rakim is the reason y people even talk about who is the best rapper. his delivery, flow, metaphors and style is still copied in today's music. sure people r wearing different jewelry and clothes now but it all traces right back to tha god rakim. do some research on topics b 4 u open your mouth and look like a total idiot unless of course u like lookin and sounding stupid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" blackandgold51: ur right jayman, jus like the big grills on the 1970's cadillacs
