More trivial crap to look into, I guess. Someone said that this some resembles Led Zeppelin? I agree and think that this song sounds an awful lot like 'Bron-Y-Aur Stomp'. Devil in a woodpile does a mean version of this old classic.

Never drove a car, lived most of his life without electricity. Only "re-discovered" in 1963. Played Newport Festival in front of hundreds or thousands of people, but nothing fazed him; just chatted, smiled & played. Then got fed up with people fighting for control of his recording, so he just went home & died in his sleep in 1966. A great artist. Rest in Peace. Thanks for posting this.

Once again Mr Lightning Hopkins is around, playing cards, sorry guitar, with Sonny Terry and Brownie McGhee. The last two mentioned were playing together often and Lightning was invited, due to American Blues Festivals were touring in Europe in the sixties.

Sonny and Brownie worked together on the East Coast, US. Blind Boy Fuller and Sonny Terry was a couple until Mr Fuller died in the early forties and was replaced by Brownie McGhee.

Sorry to say, but almost all of the bluesmen died young, due to alcohol and other drugs. I don't blame them, cause 1 day in the studio, gave 20 dollars and pickin cotton gave hardly 1 dollar/day. Thanks for listenin. Peace !

I've got a Cd compilation. He was only about 30 when died.TB I think. My favorite track of his "We sure got hard times now", it sums up the depression as well as Sleepy John's "Down South Blues."
