There is NO debate, this is widely accepted as art. If you wanted to argue if it's a masterpiece, then you have a debate ;)

If this were an actual person and background, the "picture" might have been taken with a very wide angle lens (non fisheye) while standing close to the master chief who is somewhat standing sidways. If a telephoto lens (zoom) was used, then the background would be significantly bigger/closer, and the master chief would be less distorted and more like a cardboard cutout. I would explain furthur but I ran out of room.

there is a difference between his painting and a the original 3D version. but the difference is that this program is NOT meant to draw 3D pictures and the result is as good as 3D! This guy is born to be a digital artist. I especially like the face, its extremely detailed.
