My draw was literally dropping observing their stick movements...I'm thinking, one of these guys are going to drop their sticks...they then go on to the balcony and hit the deck with amazing splits that defied gravity...christ my jaw locked out of place.

Had heard of this Balcony routine but never thought I'd see it.. Wow..
Nicholas Bro's fan myself but these guys were excellent in they're own right.. The Nich's had some great power jazz moves.
The Three Eddies were kind of cool too.

Bugs and Elmer Fudd sing some of this in the very first scene. Here I get to see the full version. Very catchy and upbeat.

Consider this ... By: CriticalListener. on 16 Sep 07, 04:22:25 Consider this cultural education, kids: people in America used to dress up for everyday. Yeah, gloves were passe by the mid-50's, when I was a kid (& I never liked 'em, myself)--but my mother literally had a small drawer full of them. In the '40's, they'd apparently been much more everyday (out-of-the-house)wear for women. And NO man would wear them, so forget the Seinfeldian reference. (HE was complaining about some lady's BARE hands freaking him out.)

How come this is posted under the category of Comedy ??? Nice to hear some real Morse code, as that's something on the decline in Ham Radio, actually you don't even have to learn the code to get a license now a days, just memorize the answers to the pre published test questions. 73's de W0EPK

When amateurs get behind a keyboard, all politeness, friendship and the 'amateur spirit' generally goes down the pan. Pissing and moaning, threats and insults, no respect for the other guy's opinions. Packet radio was always the same. I think the computer age heralded the death of the hobby. Very sad.
By: sophiegromit. on 05 Aug 08, 13:11:20
'Rafmanne', you're wrong again. Not all who designed their radio systems were Hams. And the point of argument is NOT about foretelling disaster, but RESPONDING to it. Amateur Radio operators DID respond by setting up point to point, as well as repeater communications that greatly aided local and national authorities for various groups. You must have been asleep those few days. Lastly, I did not 'diss' FDNY. I was just mentioning that 38 years with FDNY had nothing to do with your argument.
By: Rafmanne. on 01 Aug 08, 13:24:04
"The same NYFD (and NYPD) that had massive communication failures with their radio gear and/or lack of frequency coordination on 9/11" The radio system was designed by Communications Engineers, who were all hams... All the frequency "coordination" in the world could not have foretold of the main antenna structure being removed "terrain-wise" What you have done is not only dissed FDNY but hams who you seem to believe are "heroic" as well? Heroes do things, not talk up how great they "did" it
By: sophiegromit. on 01 Aug 08, 12:41:39
Big effing deal. So your father spent 38 years in the NYFD. The same NYFD (and NYPD) that had massive communication failures with their radio gear and/or lack of frequency coordination on 9/11 (i'm not dissing their heroism). This was all over the news and common fact, and helped add to the necessity of Hams. You obviously have some kind of animosity against Hams, given your false negative posts. You probably think black is white and white is black. If I 'need meds', then you need a lobotomy!
By: Rafmanne. on 01 Aug 08, 12:19:10
Considering my late Father spent 38 years in NYFD, you are full of ARRL wonder-crap... Blah, blah, blah, on & on about how great hams are... I have been licensed in the "old school" for 26 years... I don't see it "terrain-wise"... I hope you delusions subside long enough to see reality... Maybe the meds will help...
By: sophiegromit. on 01 Aug 08, 01:38:38
'Rafmanne', once again, you show how deluded you are. It is FACT that Amateur Radio operators set up emergency communications near 'ground zero', and helped coordinate key communications after cell systems failed completely in lower Manhattan. Hams also have helped, and continue to do so, when hurricanes, tornados, floods, or other disasters occur where communication systems fail or are unavailable terrain-wise. Hams even helped with the search effort after the last shuttle blew up on re-entry.
By: Rafmanne. on 01 Aug 08, 00:27:37
"hundreds of Amateur Radio operators set up emergency units in and around 'ground zero'" Total & utter crap... Just like Katrina where CW on a pair of spoons saved lives in New Orleans... Hope your KoolAid is cold...
By: sophiegromit. on 31 Jul 08, 22:59:59
'Rafmanne', you need to seriously get a clue and educate yourself. 'When all else fails' is still true today. There was massive cell phone failure, and departmental communication problems during and after 9/11, and hundreds of Amateur Radio operators set up emergency units in and around 'ground zero'. They handled critical emergency traffic between emergency responders, aid units, and other government units via 2 way radio using repeaters when ALL ELSE FAILED!

The end of the vid, reminded to me, when I was a kid, a DX QSO I faked to my neighbor, using very low power. The kid was so excited that I did not take the joke any further and said nothing After all this years, he still believes he made contact with colombia.
By: Rafmanne. on 21 Jul 08, 15:24:20
2008 - "When ALL Else Fails" is total crap. Once upon a time, hams were unique. Now they are clearly at least 20 years behind current communications technology. Another drawback of ham radio is the "hand holding" control of operations. Even though "wireless" is radio, hams cannot even put up any wifi oriented systems, due to laws written in the 1950's! Every ham wants to "help humanity", but only from the "comfort" of their musty basement. "On the ground" involvement is not a reality...

There was nothing to read. The signal from the plane simply stopped, reasonable assumption would be that the plane crashed, knowing it was low on fuel.
